Kids Campus opened in February 1923 and was sponsored by the Altrusa Club of Battle Creek as a service to single working parents. We are a locally owned business committed to providing top-notch child care services.
Our Services
The Altrusa Club is a chapter of an international community service organization with members such as business professionals and corporate executives.
From the Altrusa Club, seven members are elected to serve on the Altrusa Nursery Board of Trustees for two-year terms. The Board takes care of all the child care business operations.


Purpose
Kids Campus functions as a non-profit organization. Kids Campus is committed to providing quality child care enhanced by educational learning experiences specially meant for children at affordable prices.

At Kids Campus, we have a program designed to promote social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and language development in your child. Our philosophy fosters growth for every child, encouraging creativity, independence, and a sense of responsibility.


Our Goals
The goals of Kids Campus are designed to enhance your child's readiness to enter school and effectively function in a classroom environment. Our goals include:
- To get the child well acquainted with preschool in a pleasant and homelike atmosphere.
- To develop and increase the child's self-esteem.
- To provide a wide range of experiences for the complete growth and development of your child.
- To promote positive social skills by using optimistic problem-solving techniques.
Rules and Regulations
Kids Campus strives to meet all the licensing standards, ensuring a safe environment for your children. We follow the latest day care rules and regulations established by the Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Department / Child Day Care Licensing Division.
A Licensing Notebook which contains all the rules and regulations governing child care centers is maintained in our lobby. It also has information pertaining to licensing inspection reports and corrective action plans regarding any findings that require a specific action plan after May 2010.
